Ashby Steam is making a return this summer after two year enforced break

Ashby Steam is returning this summer after a break of two years due to the pandemic.

The two-day vintage steam rally is being held on the Charnwood Forest Alpacas site at Boundary between July 16-17.

The organisers says there will be plenty for all the family to see and do including steam engines, tractors, cars, stationary engines and trade stalls/

A range of children's entertainment is also planned - and under fives get in for free.

Daily admission prices: Adults (16 years+)- £7; Children (5-15 years) - £2; Under 5s - free; Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) - £15; Gates open 10am - 5pm; Free car parking.

Ashby Steam is one of a number of events returning to the calendar for 2022 with Covid restrictions beginning to ease.

The event organisers have posted on social media and said: "We are delighted to announce that Ashby Steam is going ahead this year - a slight change to our usual dates for this year - hope you can join us.

"Exhibitor and trade forms will be available very soon.

"Please follow our Facebook event page or keep an eye on our website for more information."
