A Measham schoolgirl sang a solo with popular four-piece group G4 at their Christmas Show at Lichfield Cathedral.

For nine-year-old Anaiah-Rae Treadwell, this was her first solo - and it was with one of the UK's biggest singing stars in front of an 800-strong audience.

She recently this year started singing lessons with the School of Rock in Ashby de la Zouch and also attends the Pauline Quirke Academy performing arts school in Sutton Coldfield.

At the Christmas show in Lichfield, she sang the opening verse of Once in Royal David's City as a solo with G4 standing behind her.

Anaiah-Rae's father Allan said: "She has been attending performing arts schools since she was three-and-a-half.

"She's always loved singing, dancing and acting.

"She was asked to audition for this solo just a week before the G4 show, and was chosen by the School and production team.

"It was such a big thing for her to do, and her first ever big stage performance like this with a crowd of over 800 at Lichfield Cathedral."
