A road closure is due to be put in place in Ashby town centre this Saturday - lasting for two days.

Leicestershire County Council Highways say that the closure will be on Kilwardby Street, between Bath Street and Churchside Walk.

This will be so that Seven Trent Water can work on new connections.

Diversions will be in place between Bath Street, Station Road, Tamworth Road, Measham Road, the A42, A511, Nottingham Road, Wood Street, Market Street and vice versa.

The previous day, Friday, August 20, another closure will be needed on Kilwardby Street between Trinity Close and Hill Street - and on Hill Street at its junction with Kilwardby Street.

This will be for one day, between 9am and 3pm and diversion signs will be in place.
