Ashby road closures and parking restrictions confirmed for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday

Ashby de la Zouch Town Council has given details of the road closures and parking restrictions planned for the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday next month

With a street party in Market Street, and a funfair in Brook Street, those roads will be subject to closure during all or some of the four day celebration

The council says that, to facilitate the party and fair, Brook Street will be closed to vehicular traffic on Thursday, June 2 from 6am, until 8pm on Sunday, June 5

And Market Street will be closed from 6am on Sunday, June 5, until 8pm

There will be no parking available on Market Street or Brook Street while the closures are in place

The council asks that all parked vehicles are cleared by 6am on the Sunday, June 4, and that all deliveries are made before 6am.

In addition, no waiting at any time will be in force for the entire length of South Street, Wilfred Gardens and Trinity close from 6am on Sunday, June 5.
