Ashby restaurant receives huge reaction to plea for ideas - after admitting 'changes' must be made to survive

An Ashby restaurant has had a huge response from customers after inviting suggestions about how it can survive in 2022.
Zamani's in Market Street posted on social media saying the Christmas period had been 'extremely quiet' during the recent Omicron variant Covid outbreak - and that changes would need to be made over the next 12 months after 30 years in the town.
It asked customers for their ideas and the owners received so many that it had to close down the comments section of its Facebook page.
The original post reads: "We are wondering if you can help?
"In the current climate we are aware we need to make changes in the forthcoming year.
"We, amongst others, have had an extremely quiet Christmas period - the number of diners has been very low compared to the previous years (quite understandably).
"As a business we aim to provide the best service in a safe environment - and we aim to survive.
"As we have been here for over 30 years and we believe we have a fantastic, knowledgable and loyal group of customers - we are turning to you...
"What can we do to encourage you to visit us more frequently in the upcoming months?
"Any ideas about menu, events, special evenings, set menus etc...
"We would love to hear from you!
"We hope you have all had a fantastic Christmas and we wish you a Happy New Year!
"The Zamani's family."
But the post has since been edited to update people on the reaction to the message.
It reads: "Thank you so much for your comments and ideas, there are so many I need to reply to, I have halted the comments to catch up!
"If you have any different ideas to the ones mentioned below please direct message me and I will add it to the list."
