The children of the owners of Zamani's Italian restaurant have started a campaign to buy presents for youngsters who will spend Christmas in hospital.

Harrison and Cyrus Zamani are asking for donations so that they can buy presents for the children that will be staying at Queens Hospital, Burton over the festive period.

Last year they asked people to donate chocolate calendars and collected over 700 which span Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and Burton hospitals and also STEPS.

Unfortunately, this year the hospitals are unable to accept the calendars during the pandemic, so they are buying presents instead.

Harrison and Cyrus' mother Kate Zamani said: "We are trying to get the word out and have two weeks left to collect donations and order the presents, they have raised over £400.00 but would love to smash the £700.00 from last year. As you can imagine it is a little harder getting the word out as the bars and restaurant are shut."
