The Lamb Inn in Ashby has closed until next week after staff member tested positive for Covid.

It means the Market Street pub will be shut for the remainder of the European Championships - including tonight's (Wednesday) England v Denmark game.

A post on The Lamb's Facebook page says: "Unfortunately a member of staff has tested positive for Covid so we have taken the decision to close for a few days to deep clean and look after the wellness of the rest of the team.

"This will mean that the upcoming England games will not be shown here, apologies for any inconvenience caused.

"We will be back open on Thursday 15th July at 10am.

"Please can you share this as much as possible so everyone has chance to find another venue to watch the football and doesn't have a wasted journey.

"Thank you to all of our brilliant customers, we look forward to seeing you again soon."
