Just seven months after opening B's House Play Café in Ashby has made the finals of the prestigious Muddy Stilettos Awards.

The Muddy Awards had over half a million public votes, with the Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Awards announcing their winners this week.

Despite being beaten to the win for Best Children's Business by Muddy Mayhem in Leicester, B's House has made a strong impression after only being open since November.

With an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 on Google Reviews, B's House has become a local favourite for parents with young children, as well as a collection of regulars that visit just for great coffee, cake and atmosphere.

When opening the café at the bottom of Market Street, owner Lauren wanted to create a safe and welcoming environment for parents and caregivers, knowing first-hand how isolating parenting can be.

Lauren has curated a 'duel-concept space' combining lively and stimulating play areas with a beautifully decorated café space.

'Becoming a mum, you just know what other mums want and need,' said Lauren, explaining that, as well as a great spot to let the little ones burn off some steam, B's House is also about building a community.

Other Ashby businesses that reached the finals for the Muddy Stilettos were Conkers for Best Family Experience and Champneys Springs for Best Wellness Break.
