An Ashby opticians has focused on getting the stopped clock in Market Street working again - as part of its move to new premises.
Specsavers has set up home in the former Dean & Smedley store after vacating its smaller premises in the town centre.
But part of the building has a clock which - for some while now - has only been showing the right time twice a day, as it has not been in working order.
When planning permission was given for Specsavers to make the move, councillors joked that they could do so as long as they made the clock work once more.
And the well-known opticians has done just that.
It is something that has been pointed out by residents and mentioned on social media.
Kuljinder Bains, store director at Specsavers Ashby, explained: "When we moved into the new store in June, we decided we'd try and make the clock that's fixed to the wall outside work again.
"We knew it was important to Ashby and well-known to local residents, but that it hadn't worked for quite a while.
"So, we arranged for an electrician and the building team to take look at it and were able to get it up and running again, much to everyone's delight!
"The local community is really important to us, so it's lovely to hear that it has been noticed and received so warmly.
"It really seems to have captured the attention of local people!"
The new Specsavers site benefits from five testing rooms and a dedicated audiology service that will provide full hearing checks and assessments along with earwax removal.
A state-of-the-art OCT (optical coherence tomography) machine has also been installed, which can help detect treatable eye conditions sooner.
