An Ashby opticians is once again supporting its local cricket club by sponsoring their kit - and now the clubhouse.

Specsavers in Market Street has sponsored the Ashby Hastings first team since 2019.

Players take to the field in branded cricket whites, while the store also now sponsors the clubhouse, which is named after Specsavers Ashby de la Zouch.

"As a local business, we're passionate about supporting the community and people around us,' said Kuljinder Bains, Specsavers Ashby's store director.

"It's great to be involved for the fourth year in a row, and we've been enjoying watching the team play!

"We've previously sponsored the kit, but this is the first year we've sponsored the clubhouse.

"It's a partnership that we're really proud of and we wish the team the very best of luck.'

Ben Driver, sponsorship manager at Ashby Hastings Cricket Club, added: 'It's great to continue the sponsorship we have with our local Specsavers store.

"We're delighted to have the Specsavers logo on the First XI shirts and we're really grateful for their support.

"The team looks great when they're out on the field and playing in their kit!'
