Councillor Damilola Ojuri, Mayor of Ashby, is holding the launch event for Opportunity Boost on 1 November.

Opportunity Boost hopes to encourage local people to take the first step towards a fulfilling career by offering guidance, mentoring, resources and opportunities foster success and financial stability.

Damilola has always had a natural curiosity about careers, after being encouraged from a young age to pursue a career in technology by her mother.

Through her work with Ashby Town Council, Damilola 'fell in love with giving back' and wanted to do more to help her community.

Her experience in mentoring has given her valuable insight into working with others, helping them work towards their ideal career. She has previously helped clients perfect their CV, prepare for job interviews and provide support for the first three to six months in the role.
