Ashby Ivanhoe 0 Saffron Dynamo 6

Ashby Ivanhoe crashed out of the United Counties Knockout Cup in disastrous fashion as a ruthless Saffron Dynamo performance ended their hopes of finishing the season with silverware.

The visitors took an early lead through Mack Armstrong's free kick from the right of the box which nestled into the corner.

A shellshocked Ivanhoe looked to respond however they found themselves two down inside 20 minutes as their set piece fragilities became clear, Jake Wooley scrambling the ball home with a smart finish.

Just five minutes later the tie looked to be over as Wooley added his second. Turning defence into attack in an instant, Saffron carved Ivanhoe open to leave their centre forward with a simple finish.

For 15 minutes either side of half time, Saffron looked to keep Ivanhoe at arm's length and were rarely troubled. The final half an hour though saw the visitors once again find a clinical streak.

Just after the hour mark, they found a fourth as Taylor Shilcock broke through and smashed into the roof of the net, with the fifth coming soon after as Jack Scott capitalised on a loose pass to slide home.

Ashby's misery was compiled with 10 minutes to play as Andi Kideri got in on the act to inflict Andy Gray's side's worst defeat of the season.

Saturday sees them travel to Lincolnshire once again as their league campaign concludes at Boston Town.
