Ashby Ivanhoe FC is staging a sponsored walk this Sunday (Sept 12) to raise funds towards the next phase of their development programme.

The club announced in May that they had completed a deal to buy their NFU ground in Ashby.

Ashby Ivanhoe buys ground in 'monumental deal'.

Now the plan is to build a top class sporting facility for the town.

Ashby Ivanhoe have laid out their plans in full HERE.

The club says: "Following the success of our previous fundraising events to support the successful purchase of our ground and club facilities, we are this year having an Autumn Walk led by Jon Emmerson - a key driver in raising funds and one of the CIC Directors.

"The walk will last approximately 1.5 hours, leaving at 10:30am from our newly acquired home ground, the NFU Sport Ground, on Lower Packington Road.

"The walk is one of a number of events planned this year to support Phase two of our development programme, with the plans and drawings on display in the Knights Bar.

"So please come along on September 12 for "exercise and the crack" whilst also raising some money towards Phase 2. Donations can be made on the day.

"Sturdy footwear advised and, once the walk is complete, we'll be heading back to The Knights Bar at AIFC which will be open from 12pm! Please get in touch with Jon or Bryan Smith if you'd like to attend."
