Two Ashby fundraisers visited an Ashby Freemason Lodge to collect a thousand-pound charity donation for the local air ambulance service.
Martin Cooper and Norman Baker, who have both been long-time supporters of the charity, attended the Ferrers and Ivanhoe Freemason Lodge in Ashby. They were invited to attend by the newly installed Master of the Lodge, Russel, who presented Norman and Martin with a £1,000 donation.
Martin is a well-known face around Ashby, having raised almost £25,000 for the Air Ambulance, visiting community groups and spreading awareness for the important work they do.
Norman has been a long-standing volunteer at Ashby's Air Ambulance shop in Ashby.
Speaking about the donation, Martin said: 'Of all the presentations I have done in 2024 and 2025 to support the angels in the sky flying, this as a single donation was the most generous. It was great to be able to meet the Lodge members and thank them personally for their generosity and explain how the money would be used towards lifesaving missions.'
