Ashby firm is shortlisted for top county award

Fishers solicitors in Ashby has been shortlisted for a top county award.

The long established Ivanhoe Office Park company, which has been part of the town for over 200 years, is a contender for the Leicestershire Live Business Awards, Employer of the Year.

Fishers, which has renewed its primary sponsorship with Ashby Nub News, listed the criteria for being nominated among the possible winners.

"The award honours the region's top employers. These companies will have demonstrated strong investment in their employees as well having a reward scheme and other key employee benefits. It's time to reward them, as they do their staff. They will be recognised as one of the best places to work in the area!"

The result will be known at the awards night on September 16.

Fishers also has a number of announcements to make.

  • Fishers was highly commended in the British Wills and Probate awards for solicitor firm of the year in the Midlands and were also highly commended for the probate provider award.
  • Fishers is pleased to announce it will be sponsoring the Christmas Tree in Market Street for the second time after the positive reaction to the town's display four months ago.
  • Over lockdown, Fishers helped people sort their wills and LPAs with care home and garden visits, the Ashby solicitors also created an outdoor space to see clients
  • Fishers has had a record number of conveyancing work, helping people buy and sell homes.
