Ashby Drivers Warned A444 Is Blocked At Castle Gresley

A serious road accident has blocked the A444 into Burton this morning.
An 11 year old girl was hit by a car and airlifted to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham.
The incident, close to Toons furniture store, was decribed by Derbyshire Police as 'serious'.
It will cause disruption to morning traffic and drivers are urged to seek an alternative route.
Police are already at the scene and have cordoned off the route.
