Ashby de la Zouch venues get five-star marks in latest food hygiene ratings for Leicestershire

A number of Ashby venues have been given a five star rating in the latest set of food hygiene ratings for Leicestershire.
The data covers the month of March 2025.
Every restaurant, supermarket and takeaway – indeed, any place where food is supplied, sold or eaten – is given a rating for food hygiene, with zero being the worst and five being the best.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) has put together the latest results for North West Leicestershire so you can check what rating your favourite restaurant and other eateries have been given.
The ratings are based on criteria such as handling, storage and preparation of food, cleanliness of facilities and how well food safety issues are managed.
Across the county, a total of 146 places to eat were given a top rating of "5", meaning "very good".
In Ashby, the new Market Street cafe, Coffee #No1, has achieved a five-rating, along with Nick's Fish Bar in Smisby Road, The Orchid of Ashby, in Market Street, and Reformii in Coxons Mews.
