Peter and Michaela Whitehead founded Whitehead's Estate Agents in 2017 - and have not looked back since.

Having been in the industry for a combined total of over 70 years between them, the husband and wife team can draw on their vast experience over the last four decades, working with leading local agents and with Michaela working in central London for 10 years, early in her career providing expert advice on any property related matters.

It was a natural progression to draw on that know-how to open up their own business in 2017, offering a level of expertise and professionalism rarely found in today's day and age.

Having lived in Ashby for 20 years, their lives have been centred in and around North West Leicestershire, raising three children within the local schools and being involved in 'all things Ashby' throughout this period.

Starting from home, they have now progressed to having two successful offices in Ashby and Melbourne, employing a staff of six and, over the last six years, have had many clients buying and selling through them within and around the area.

Whitehead's is the latest company to become a sponsor with Ashby Nub News - which has just passed the landmark one million pageviews since the turn of the year.

Peter highlighted Ashby's popularity as a traditional market town offering a unique lifestyle, where the ability to walk into town is a must, also with excellent local schools, the National Forest and excellent commuter links via the M42 and M1 to many strategic towns and cities - ensuring the appeal of Ashby remains constant.

The couple have had to adapt their business strategy to an ever-changing market, with emphasis now on photography, property videos and social media high on the agenda, with many people now choosing to surf the property websites from the comfort of home in order to find the right house - as well as the right estate agent.
