Charnwood Forest Alpacas is offering couples a date night with a difference - in the company of some fluffy friends.

The 110-acre farm between Ashby and Boundary is one of the first, original and largest alpaca farms open to the public in the UK.

And the company offers experiences with the animals there.

The latest idea is £49 date night - with the added bonus of getting up close with Charnwood's popular Alpacas.

Charnwood is advertising it like this: "After a busy day, enjoy a relaxing evening at Charnwood Forest Alpacas with our date night with a difference.

"Our 110-acre farm is the perfect place to unwind while enjoying your evening.

"Meet your new fluffy friends and listen to their hums while taking in the country air and views.

"£49 FOR TWO

"Our Date Night with Prosecco and Pacas is available Thursday - Saturday and includes:

• two Hours in a countryside pasture with a group of alpacas

• A bottle of Prosecco and two flutes (non alcoholic white fizz option available)

• Scones with jam and cream

• Bottled water

• A folding table/blanket,"

Charnwood Forest Alpacas makes it clear that the experience is suitable for friends and groups as well as couples.

It also adds: "Your experience will include a health and safety briefing before being taken out to the fields to meet our friendly alpacas!"
