An Ashby boxer is set to take on 150 rounds in one go for charity this weekend at his town centre gym.
Liam Parker will take on the gruelling challenge on Saturday - which is set to last for eight hours of sparring with his opponents - to raise funds for two charities.
The event will be staged at the Motiv8 gym in Bakery Court - just behind Ashby Town Hall.
His first round will be at 10am and he is scheduled to finish at 6pm.
All monies raised from the event will go to the Phoenix Children's Foundation in Packington and Mental Mate, which supports adults and children with mental health issues.
Liam, head coach and founder at Motiv8, told Ashby Nub News: "It'll be 150 rounds without a break, three minutes, then a one minute break.
"Because of the gym, I've got sparring partners lined up, plus other members of the gym who are prepared to get in the ring and punch me in the face!
"They can get their own back for all of the nasty training I put them through.
"But, seriously, it's not going to be a fight."
Liam, aged 43, is no stranger to marathon boxing events - he has twice done 100 rounds in a day.
But he accepts this is one challenge that will test his endurance levels.
He added: "The last time I did this was about five years ago.
"But I like to push my boundaries and test myself, I'm not getting any younger.
"So I thought: 'Let's do 150 rounds'"
Liam says the event is 'open house' at the Motiv8 gym and people can come and see the event.
He said: "There'll be drinks and snacks plus a few local musicians playing music throughout the day.
"The Phoenix Foundation are bringing a Shetland Pony down as well.
"I'm starting at 10am and I hope I'll still be there and in the mix at three minutes to six."
Liam remembers his 100 round challenges and hopes that experience will get him through what he is about to do.
He added: "I got through those 100 rounds and got up the next day thinking I'd be quite sore.
"But I'm quite fit due to the job I do and I'm still competing.
"It is mind power over body power definitely.
"But I suspect this one might hurt a little bit."
Liam says Motiv8 is working with a lot of youngsters at the moment.
He said: "What we want to do is get them off the streets and instil some discipline in them."
After this, Liam is heading to Malta to fight for world title eliminator which could lead to a world title fight in Argentina.
