Funhouse Comedy Club is back at The Lyric Rooms this Thursday (Oct 7) with Chris McCausland - who has appeared on several TV shows including Would I Lie To You? - topping the bill.
Also appearing at the Lower Church Street venue is Laura Lexx who has appeared on Live at The Apollo, as well as Shazia Mirza who also has also made numerous TV appearances.
The Lyric Rooms says that, for your comfort and peace of mind, it is again be limiting capacity to just two thirds of normal.
Tickets are £12 in advance and more details can be found HERE.
Chris is the only blind professional comedian on the circuit he has an exclusive take on life.
Good-natured, unruffled and extremely genial, his diverse mix of subjects keeps his audiences amused.
Opening the night will be actor, writer and stand-up the optimistic and exuberant Laura Lexx, who has a delightfully funny take on things.
She immediately charms the audience with her quick quips and is happy to discuss anything.
Her exclusive style is fantastically offbeat and hilarious, as well as both cheeky and charming, delivering even her sarcasm and irony with a sparkly grin.
Also appearing is Shazia Mirza, an international award-winning comedian and columnist for the Guardian Weekend magazine who has also guested on Have I Got News For You?
From Birmingham, she was previously a science teacher with one of her former pupils being the rapper Dizzee Rascal.
Star of radio and TV she has appeared on 'Last Comic Standing', 'Richard and Judy' and 'The Wright Stuff'.
Shazia's distinctive act combines a deadpan delivery with observation on her world; her laconic one-liners represent something quite unique in modern comedy. Completing the line-up will be Eric Rushton, with his sardonic quips and personal dreams. Compere for the night is the lively and chatty Spiky Mike.- 7.15pm doors
