The A42 near Ashby was closed northbound today (Wednesday) after a truck came off the road.
Highways East Midlands says there was an 'extensive recovery' ongoing while the HGV was moved.
A social media post said: "The A42 is now closed northbound between J11 - Appleby Magna and J12 - Ashby-de-la-Zouch - due to an HGV which has left the carriageway.
"Due to extensive recovery, the road will remain closed until recovery is complete.
"There are delays of 30 minutes delays on approach."
The road was closed shortly before 1pm today (Wednesday).
Highways East Midlands posted details of a suggested diversion on its website.

- Continue southbound passing through Appleby Parva to the B4116 junction at Twycross.
- At the A444/B4116 mini roundabout junction turn left (north) onto the B4116.
