Inside the ‘hidden gem’ venue which hosts just 10 weddings a year

Couples looking for the perfect setting for their special day need look no further than the "hidden gem" that is Staunton Harold Hall.
Nestled deep in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside, the 18th-century mansion offers just 10 wedding dates per year.
Available from April through to October, the historic and impressive home offers a unique and magical place to tie the knot.
The splendid state rooms within the house are available for hire just ten times a year, giving couples the rare opportunity to celebrate in one of the county's most distinctive private homes.
The rooms lend themselves beautifully to weddings. Spacious and closely connected, with kitchens and other facilities nearby, they allow the day to flow naturally from one part of the celebration to the next.
Receptions are held in the Great Hall, with the wedding breakfast in the adjacent Ballroom.

There is also a private room for the bridal party, a games room where children can be entertained, and the Library, which offers a quiet space for older guests or anyone wanting a peaceful moment away from the celebrations.
Because Staunton Harold hosts just 10 wedding dates per year, every celebration has time to feel personal, considered and full of its own character.
There is no conveyor belt of weddings and no sense of one couple simply following another. Instead, couples have the flexibility to make the most of the space on offer and are given the full attention of the team to ensure the day feels entirely their own.
Couples are able to set everything up the day before, helping avoid any last-minute rush on their special day.
The experienced wedding team are on hand throughout the planning process and on the day itself to ensure every small detail is given careful attention.
The State Rooms may be grand and impressive, but the atmosphere at Staunton Harold Hall is relaxed and welcoming. As a family home, it offers a sense of warmth that helps couples and their guests feel at ease from the moment they arrive.
That bespoke approach and flexibility is key to weddings at Staunton Harold Hall, where there are no set packages.

Everything is tailored to the couple's needs, meaning they will not be forced into paying for something they do not want or need simply because it is included in a set deal.
Wedding weekends are not pre-allocated, giving couples the best possible chance of securing the date that works for them.
The venue works equally well across the seasons. In the warmer months, couples can take advantage of the extensive grounds, gardens and views across the estate, while cooler days offer the chance to make the most of the Hall's generous interiors and roaring log fires.
One of the best attributes of the house is the ample amount of space, putting fears over wet weather to rest.
Bookings are now being taken for 2027, with hire prices starting at £6,000.
Staunton Harold Hall is a family-owned and managed estate, featuring a church built in 1653, while the Hall itself was rebuilt in 1763 by the 5th Earl Ferrers.
The near 400-year-old church is also available for use for a wedding ceremony.
Surrounded by peaceful lakes, rolling hills, grazing sheep and miles of open countryside, Staunton Harold Hall offers a truly special place to get married.
