What a difference a year makes.

Twelve months ago, Keith Tiplady took his first order of chocolates after setting up business.

A year later, he was opening Indulgent Chocolates in Ashby.

Keith is now up and running in Bath Street and has already been reporting people queuing to get into the plush new shop.

Ashby Nub News went there to take a look and the surroundings are just as classy as the wares on sale.

You can see inside by taking a look at our video above.

Keith said: "It's been a crazy year going from a project manager to a chocolate maker, with lots of stressful moments but equally lots of exciting and fun ones.

"I couldn't have done it without the support of my family and friends, who have helped make the chocolates with me when I have large orders, setup my website, renovate the shop with me and push me towards exciting opportunities like being on the BBC News.

"I will post about special offers we will be having to thank you for your support over the year.

"Without your orders and support I wouldn't be where I am now, running a chocolate shop! So keep an eye on our social media for more details."

Keith says he is already investing in more equipment to cope with the demands of his expanding business.

His first big order last year enabled him to buy bigger and better machinery - and he has upgraded again since moving to Ashby.

He added: "We're opening from Thursday to Mondays now, we do online sales as well which is how we started.

"But I've got a much bigger machine now to allow me to produce more stuff from here.

"It's far more than I've ever done now.

"It takes about seven kilos, then it's half an hour before the next seven kilos.

"A year ago, I wouldn't even have considered opening a shop like this - I started it as a bit of a hobby.

"We pushed the online sales but we started to get more and more business.

"So far, the initial signs are good and Ashby seems the right place for us to open up.

"People from outside the town come here just to shop."

So, what is the most 'indulgent' thing to buy?

Keith added: "The Ultimate Slabs probably, they're around 700-800 grams, there's a choice of fillings like, caramel cookie dough, peanut butter, anything you like, and up to five toppings, it's a proper sharing slab, you wouldn't eat that on your own!

"We make up boxes of chocolates and people can choose what they want in them. It's great for birthday gifts."
