Indulgent Chocolates is due to open in Ashby in mid-April.

And new venture will be based at 10, Bath Street.

With a number of businesses vacating shop sites in Ashby during lockdown, some are already being filled.

We reported in January that the Leicester-based business was moving in.

Original plans saw the family-run company looking at sites in Market Street.

But now it will be just around the corner.

Founder Keith Tiplady plans to be up and running by the middle of next month after spending a few weeks making the shop ready for business.

The company says it will be specialising in Belgian chocolates and its arrival got a positive response following our story.

Keith said at the time: "Indulgent Chocolates is very excited to be opening a shop in Ashby this Spring.

"We specialise in Tempered Belgian Chocolates with indulgent caramel, cookie dough, peanut butter and flavoured ganache fillings.

"However, the shop will be packed full of lots of other Chocolate treats.

"I set the business up last year after being on furlough and then being made redundant.

"It has been a difficult but fun year looking after our three year old twins and building the business.

"After the success we've had online, I'm looking forward to joining the other great shops in Ashby and meeting the lovely shoppers."
