Ashby de la Zouch Town Council has announced its programme of Platinum Jubilee. celebrations - including a fun fair, a street party and a Lancaster Bomber flyby.

A traditional fun fair in Brook Street will run from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 5.

A large street party has been organised for the Sunday.

Three hundred tables have been pre-booked via a lottery of registered interest.

Each table occupier has been asked to dress their table on the day so they can join in the 'Best Dressed Table Competition'.

This will be judged by the Mayor of Ashby de la Zouch.

The event will be taking place down the entire length of Market Street.

It will take place between 12pm-3pm, with all the surrounding buildings adorned with Union Jack flags.

Speakers will line the length of the event.

This will include live performances and public patriotism via sing-along.

A flyby from a Lancaster Bomber has been organised which will provide an impressive sight.

All of the Ashby businesses have been encouraged to enter a 'Best Dressed Window' competition.

There is a theme of red, white & blue or a Royal display. 

Window displays will be judged by the Mayor.
