Before you ask many agents to come to your home to complete a valuation, it is a good idea to do some research to get a feel for what your home is worth. You can look on the main property portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla to gauge the current market asking prices.
Bear in mind that the price achieved can often be a little lower than the asking price, but with a good agent, it shouldn't be substantially lower. You can also run a free online valuation, which is available on the EweMove website - https://www.ewemove.com/estate-agents-and-letting-agents/branch/ashbydelazouch
This tool looks at houses in the immediate area of your home and adjusts for house price increases. It provides a valuation estimate based on comparable data and cannot take into account any changes you might have made to your home since you bought it. Which is why it is important to have an in person valuation to give you a more accurate figure.
Once you've done your own research and want to book in for an in-person valuation, you can do so by visiting https://www.ewemove.com/estate-agents-and-letting-agents/branch/ashbydelazouch

You will receive a phone call from either Lewis or Catherine at EweMove Ashby to discuss your property and any changes that you may have made so that they can do their research and complete your comparison report. They will then book you in for a valuation on a day and time that suits you. Due to their flexibility, they can complete valuations over the evenings and weekends, as well as on the weekdays.
The valuation itself can take anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour depending on the size of the house and any questions that you may have that Catherine & Lewis will be happy to answer. During the valuation, they will take a look around your house and then go through a comparison report to show how they came to the value of the property. EweMove are not about over valuing a property to win your business as this means that a property can sit on the market for a long time and have to be reduced several times before it sells. Instead, they aim to market a property at a competitive price which draws in more viewers and, in turn, creates a bidding war which ultimately gets you more money. They will also go through the ways that they market a property and leave you with a handy booklet for you to read in your own time.
Once you've had your valuation and the EweMove team have left, you will receive an email which summarises everything discussed in the in-person valuation and informs you of your next steps.

EweMove are not your typical hard sell Estate Agents and they're not going to force you into selling your home with them. Whilst, on the odd occasion, customers do instruct them in their living room, this is not the norm and not something they would want to pressure a customer into doing. Selling your home is a big commitment and you should be given the time to think, discuss and make your own decision based on the Estate Agent that you like and trust, rather than one who has whipped out some T&Cs in your living room and basically forced you to sign them!
One piece of advice EweMove would offer is to check the tie in period on all T&C's before you sign them. Most agents tie you in for a minimum of 8 weeks, and can be as long as 20 weeks, and then also have a 2-4 week cancellation period. This tie in period isn't for you. It's for them to have the time to take their foot off the pedal and not try to sell your home. EweMove have no tie-in periods as part of their Happy Sale Guarantee. If you're not happy for whatever reason, you are free to walk away.
