Ashby Ivanhoe Under-Nine Knights beat Mercia Juniors in Lichfield on Saturday with Jalen Farley scoring a hat-trick.

But they had to fight back from a goal down to do it after Mercia went ahead from the penalty spot.

Ollie Barnett scored twice thanks to some excellent finishing to add to Farley's hat-trick.

The win owed much to excellent distribution from Jude Powl and Joe Smith, together with sturdy defensive play from Ollie Goodwin and James Brooke, along with Harry Milner the Knights' final backstop.

It was a great all-round display on a cold and wet morning in the Cathedral city.
