This weekend's Ashby events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities hopefully there is something for everyone.

The Lyric Rooms is now a fully licensed civil ceremony wedding venue, after many months of meticulous planning.

The venue's experienced wedding team are looking forward to greeting you and showing you around at the Lyric Rooms' Wedding Open Day, where you can see the newly refurbished interior and rooms dressed for the big day.

Also, the day will showcase a historic part of the building that has been developed, where the wedding ceremonies will be held, which up until now, has never been opened up to the general public.

So, if you are planning your big day, or simply would just like to come along to see what is happening, feel free to pop in for a chat at the Lyric Rooms in Lower Church Street.

Brew has a bumper weekend of events as the Market Street craft beer bar re-opens after a post-new year break.

Tonight (Thursday), open mic returns with Gareth Humphreys hosting the first musical gathering of 2024.

There is more music at Brew on Friday when Mollie Ralph is playing live.

On Saturday, there is pop up food in the shape of The Burgerologist and, later the same day, there will be more live music with Kev Bradley.

The next day, Brew's Lazy Sunday Afternoon session returns.

This week, Andy Watts and Neil Davison are back with a great range of songs from 80s to rock.

There is an event with a difference on Saturday at Charnwood Forest Alpacas near Ashby.

You are invited to an Alpaca Care and Ownership Work Shop.

Here, you'll be able to get up close with the animals and engage in an interactive experience.
