What's On in the Ashby area this weekend: Top comedy at Melbourne Hall and tributes to two rock greats

This weekend's Ashby events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities - hopefully there is something for everyone.

With the cancellation of the Moira Canal Festival due to the recent poor weather, the biggest attraction is just a few miles outside of Ashby.
Just The Tonic Comedy will be hosting a weekend of top comedy acts at Melbourne Hall.
On Friday, you can see Seann Walsh, Saturday it's Milton Jones (pictured) and Sunday sees Mark Watson on stage.

Conkers has a double tribute treat on Saturday night.
They are featuring a Dire Straits and Bruce Springsteen combination - Money for Nothing - at the Moira venue.
The band have performed all over the world, and have studied Dire Straits in great depth in order to be as close as possible to the real thing.
Fronting the band is the brilliant guitarist and "Mark Knopfler sound-alike", Aled Williams, and behind him, the line-up features top-class and experienced musicians. The result is a performance that makes Money For Nothing a "must see" for any rock enthusiast or Dire Straits fan.
Featuring all the hits from their first ever single, 'Sultans of Swing' through to 'Brothers in Arms', this show will leave you absolutely mesmerised!
The also includes a Springsteen tribute. The Sound Of Springsteen have been been singing, performing, and playing in sync as if they'd been together their entire musical careers.

The Greyhound at Boundary have rock covers band Unchained playing live on Saturday night.

And Brew in Market Street hosts its regular Lazy Sunday Afternoon session this weekend.
This week, Steve Bradshaw is providing an eclectic acoustic mix.
