The Lyric Rooms in Ashby will be hosting the latest round of the prestigious national 'British Comedian Of The Year Competition'
The biggest prize in comedy brings, 10 pro and semi pro comics to battle it out to try and get through to the next round. Industry judges and you the audience help pick the winners.
Nine comedians (from TV comics to the best rising stars) battle it out to see who will go through to the semi final of the £10,001 British Comedian of the Year competition - the biggest cash prize in UK comedy.
Each act performs their best 10 mins, and you (YES YOU!) the audience vote for your favorites to decide who goes through and who doesn't. The power is all yours!

It will be another busy week at Brew in Market Street this week, with three events lined up.
Starting tonight (Thursday), there is the latest Open Mic Night hosted by Warren Stanford.
On Saturday, there is another pop-up street food guest with Smash City Burgers coming to Ashby.
Brew's Lazy Sunday Afternoon session this week is provided by Mollie Ralph.
It's Bonfire Night this weekend of course, and Conkers is staging its annual displays on Saturday and Sunday.
If you're looking for something fun to do with the whole family, look no further than the Family Fireworks event in the Forest.
With two nights of dazzling fireworks displays, along with laser dancers, this is an event you won't want to miss.
And if you're worried about dinner, don't be – the varied Food Market Menu has got you covered.
In addition to the spectacular fireworks show, there will be:

Sunday sees a Creative writing, Poetry and Spoken word with Sophie Sparham at the Old School Room in Blackfordby.
Sophie is a poet and writer from Derby.
She has written commissions for BBC Radio 4, The V&A and The People's History Museum.
Sophie also hosted the night Word Wise which won best spoken word night at the 2019 Saboteur Awards.
The latest collection 'The Man Who Ate 50,000 Weetabix' came out in April 2021 via Verve Poetry Press. Sophie's work has been published in Orbis, Under the Radar and The Morning Star.
