Animal Keeper Day with Charnwood Forest Alpacas

Keeper days are back for the summer holidays, giving children a hand-on, up close and personal introduction to alpacas.

Join the baby alpacas (called Cria) for a lovely day out, including: helping care for the animals, learning about feeding, grooming and their daily routines, making new friends (both human and furry) as well as getting close to the beautiful cria.

Tour of St Helen's Church

As part of the 2025 Festival of Archaeology across Leicestershire and Rutland, St Helen's Church will be holding a special tour.

This tour will take you round the Grade 1 listed 15th century church, showing attendees England's only pilgrim memorial and one of just two finger pillories in the country. To get involved, there is no need to book, just meet outside the church at 2pm on Friday 25th July.

This event is free to attend but donations are welcome.

Last year, highlights of the day included a grand tractor parade through Ashby Town Centre, food games and activities on the Bath Grounds and a great community feel.
