This weekend's Ashby events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities - there is something for everyone. This week includes: the return of the famous annual Ashby Statutes, live music at The White Heart, a heritage open day at St Helen's church and more.

Ashby Statutes

This weekend, Ashby Statutes will be dominating town centre with thrilling funfair rides, games, refreshment stalls and more filling Market Street, Bath Street and Brook Street.

2025 marks this 806th year of Ashby Statutes, known locally to bring people from far and wide to enjoy the fair, ride the dodgems and have a fantastic family day out.

The fair will open on Friday 12 September at 4pm until 11pm and be open 11am-11pm for Saturday and Sunday. On Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th, it will run from 4pm to 10pm, closing on Tuesday Night.

Hello Heritage Open Day at St Helen's Church

On Saturday 13 September, St Helen's Church are hosting a heritage Open Day for local people to explore, examine the archaeology beneath the site and get hands on with some of the artefacts.

This will be running between 10am and 3.30pm with refreshments served all day.

Taking place at Coalville CAN headquarters on Saturday 13 September, Carla Harris will be holding a relaxing session teaching participants to make their own beautiful glass tealight holder.

The Woman in White at Ashby Venture Theatre

Between Thursday 11 and Saturday 20 September, Ashby's Venture Theatre will be performing their thrilling new imagining of the Woman in White.

'Wander fog-laden streets and explore shadowed chambers where terrifying secrets lurk behind every veil. As Hartright and Marian grapple with deception, betrayal and long-buried truths, they must confront their deepest fears to uncover a sinister conspiracy threatening to destroy them all.'

This unforgettable tale of suspense and revelation was originally written by Partrick Prior, writer of last year's sell-out show The Lodger.

The Whiskey Chasers at The White Heart

The Whiskey Chasers will be performing on Saturday 13 September from 9pm at popular Ashby pub The White Heart.

Performing hits from AC/DC, Led Zepplin, The Jam, Stevie Wonder, Chuck Berry, T-Rex and more, the Whiskey Chasers will get the whole pub rocking.
