On Saturday, the Lyric Rooms in Ashby is hosting a Magical Afternoon Tea.

The Lower Church Street venue promises a special visit from TWO real life Princesses - The Snow Queen and Rapunzel!

Each Princess will give a special live performance of their well known song and every child will receive a special gift from the Princesses to take home.

Before that, if soul music is your thing, then you can catch Tabby's Disco at The Plough on The Green on Friday night.

There is more live music at The Greyhound in Boundary on Saturday night.

They will be hosting Mix n Match at the Ashby Road venue.

It's a busy weekend as usual at Brew.

On Saturday evening, 5-8pm, the Market Street venue is hosting the Spice Club Roadshow, serving authentic Punjabi street food.

Then, almost 24 hours, Brew is staging its Lazy Sunday Afternoon session.

This week, the musician is Chin Topiwalla who will be playing an acoustic set.

Ashby Civic Society will be holding its latest meeting on Tuesday (Feb 14) when the topic will be The Ashby & Burton Light Railway - A short History.

A talk will be given by Alan Hiley who takes you on a journey in photos along the old tramway route to see how it looked then and how it looks now.
