Ashby Steam returned after a two-year break last weekend - and was described as 'the best yet'.

The event attracted big crowds to the Charnwood Forest Alpacas farm site near Boundary.

As many as 8,000 people were expected over the two days of the rally which included vintage steam engines, tractors and classic cars.

The Ashby Steam committee were delighted with the turn out in warm weather.

They said: "Wow, wow, wow, what can we say?

"We've loved welcoming you all back to Ashby Steam this weekend and hope you've enjoyed yourselves.

"Whether you joined us as an exhibitor, trader, entertainer or visitor, thank you for coming along and making our 2022 event the best yet!

"We couldn't put this event on without our small army of volunteers - thank you for all that you do to help the event run smoothly.

"And finally, to Chris and the team at Charnwood Forest Alpacas, thank you for welcoming us back to the farm once again.

"See you next year! Gill, Jim, Kat & Andy, The Ashby Steam Committee."

Ashby Nub News was also there and here is a selection of photos from the event.
