Two drugs raids were carried out in the Coalville Neighbourhood Policing Area last week - in Moira and Ibstock.

Leicestershire Police posted a You Tube video (above) showing the two moments police entered the properties.

It was the latest in a string of warrants in North West Leicestershire which has topped 60 since the first national lockdown.

And Sgt Jayne Dolby told how officers are continuing to stop, deter and disrupt criminal activity, despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Sgt Dolby is seen commenting on the video, which was recorded on Friday, November 13, and said: "We've completed two warrants today, Section 22 Misuse of Drugs Act here on the Coalville NPA.

"We executed them with our beat teams and pro-active teams - one in Moira and one in Ibstock.

"Since lockdown we've conducted more than 60 warrants across the whole NPA, across the whole district covering all beats.

"To try and target normal business from a policing perspective."

Leicestershire Police revealed last month to Nub News that 60 warrants had been executed this year 1,000 plant cannabis find was one of 60 police raids since March.
