Conkers in Moira has been ranked as the sixth most visited paid attraction in the East Midlands, according to a new VisitEngland survey.

VisitEngland has released its 2023 annual survey of both free and paid visits to visitor attractions across England.

The comprehensive survey collected data from 1,513 English attractions, recording rankings, attraction categories, exact or estimated visitor numbers for both 2022 and 2023, percentage changes between the years, and adult entry prices.

According to the survey, Conkers - the award-winning family visitor attraction in the heart of the National Forest - welcomed 210,526 visitors in 2023, ranking it alongside other major paid visitor attractions in the East Midlands including Chatsworth, Calke Abbey, Belton House, Hardwick Hall and Kedleston Hall.

Nicky Carlton from Conkers said: "We're ever so proud that Conkers has been ranked sixth in the top 20 most-visited paid attractions in the East Midlands.

"The ranking is testament to the work that we do here in continuing to improve the visitor experience for all of the families who come to Conkers."

Conkers offers a unique mix of indoor and outdoor experiences across 120 acres of maturing woodlands, lakes, ponds, play areas and an 18-stage assault course challenge.

Indoors, a British Woodland has over 100 indoor interactive exhibits in four seasonal zones or visitors can experience the Enchanted Forest, climbing through the treetops and along rope walkways.
