VIDEO: Watch As Ashby's Market Street Turns Up The Noise On Clap For Our Carers Night
Whistles, drums, flutes, horns, pots, pans, whoops… you name it, Ashby's Market Street rang to it on Thursday night.
It seems as though Ashby's celebration of the NHS and care workers is getting louder as we enter the fourth week of lockdown, with another two to come at least.
The weekly 8pm Clap for our Carers has now become engrained in the country's thinking as the victims of Coronavirus grow and the bravery of those frontline workers becomes more obvious.
And as, our video above shows, Market Street did not hold back and it was a pattern repeated throughout the town and, of course, the UK the country came together on its doorsteps for the fourth week running.
Elswwhere, a mass round of applause rang through the streets of Britain.
Over the past month, people on locked-down streets have opened their doors and windows to cheer on frontline workers, who are risking their lives daily in the battle against Covid-19.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who is recovering from the virus at his Chequers residence, was among those who joined in with the campaign on Thursday.
"He put his hands together to say thank you for the 'incredible efforts of the country's doctors, nurses and care workers' his official spokesman said.
