No-one can underestimate the seriousness of the Coronavirus crisis.

But you have to relieve the boredom of being stuck indoors all day somehow.

So, just how have the people of North West Leicestershire been raising a smile?

People in Measham saw the unusual site of two dog walkers dressed as a banana and Mr Blobby taking their pet out for a spot of exercise (click on the video above).

Turns out it was the guys from Pipsqueak Party, a company that provides different themed birthday parties for children in and around the Midlands.

In Hugglescote, North West Leicestershire Police posted a photo of the village's bear - wearing a protective mask as reminder of the current health warnings.

The Police posted on their Facebook page: "Nice to see the Hugglescote bear is taking the message seriously, but as he can't self isolate, someone has kindly given him a mask."
