There are multiple upcoming road closures in and around Ashby in the coming weeks, including Willesley Lane, A42 slip road and Burton Road.

Leicestershire County Council are planning to close Willesley Lane all day on the 9th and 10th July for resurfacing works. 

The road closure will be from the crossroads between Hick's Lodge and Willesley Campsite to the junction of Tamworth/Measham Road and Wells Road. 

The County Council are recommending a diversion via Measham Road from Willesley Lane. 

From 8pm on Thursday 3rd July to 6am on Saturday 5th July, Burton Road will be closed between Castle Medical Group and with a diversion route on Ashby Road and Smisby Road.  

Temporary multi-way traffic lights will be between Castle Medical Group and Bishop Hall Road. These will be in place until 2nd July, according to Leicestershire County Council.   

Furthermore, the A42 slip-road and one lane will be closed between 9pm on 3rd July and 7am on 19th July with works being carried out from Monday to Friday between 8pm and 5am.
