Fishers has hired two new experts in the conveyancing team with nearly 70 years of experience.

The Ashby-based solicitors is proud to welcome a new solicitor and conveyancer.

Catherine Bee, solicitor, and Kim Plant, conveyancer, have joined the Ivanhoe Office Park team, led by Amanda Payne, to support the fast paced and busy conveyancing team.

Catherine qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and has worked in both commercial and residential property.

Kim has been working in law since 1978, at various law firms.

Catherine and Kim will both be key for Fishers to develop and build upon their already well experienced team of conveyancers.

The year 2020 saw a testing time for all conveyancers, firstly with the national lockdowns meaning the property market came to a halt and then the Government's announcement of the Stamp Duty Land Tax holiday, saving home buyers thousands off their transactions, in turn making the property market sky rocket. As a team, Fishers have pulled together to support their clients and are now really pleased to have two highly experienced, well known and fantastic experts to join their team.

Customer service and knowledge of the market has always been key to Fishers, so appointing two new additions that can hit the ground running, is instrumental at a time when the market is thriving. With their years of experience teamed with their customer service skills and qualifications, we're delighted to have them both on board.

Catherine said: "I have worked for Fishers in the past and I am delighted to be back.

"When I was moving firms what helped me make the decision to re-join Fishers was the history it has and how forward thinking it is.

"They have great systems in place and it is a well-established business with lots of really top quality experienced solicitors. I am looking forward to receiving the backup and support from the friendly team to enable me to provide an exemplary service to our clients.

"I have certainly been impressed with how the team is so well organised. We understand that moving house can be a stressful time, even more so in current times, and we strive to provide reassurance and excellent client care throughout the process."

Kim said: "I have been working in the law since 1978, so for 43 years now.

"During that time I have worked at various law firms, specialising in residential conveyancing and dealing with all aspects of the law including dealing with new builds, unregistered land, trust property, company transactions, re-mortgages, transfer of equity matters, equity release transactions together with shared ownership transactions.

"Fishers is already proving to be a great place to work and I am excited to be a part of their brilliant team."

Amanda added: "I am delighted that both Catherine and Kim have been able to join us to strengthen our residential property department at Fishers.

"They both bring a wealth of experience to the team.

"So far it has been a pleasure to work with them both. I have great plans for the business at Fishers and having fantastic people on board brings us much closer to accomplishing our goals."
