Top 10 most objected to planning applications in North West Leicestershire during 2023 have been listed

The most controversial planning applications in North West Leicestershire during 2023 have been revealed.

The table below makes for fascinating reading, and illustrates how people across the district feel about proposed changes in their neighbourhoods.

Most objections were directed at schemes planned in the Coalville area.

But two planning applications from Ashby Ivanhoe Football Club also feature in the list.

  1. Construction of a solar farm together with all associated works, equipment and necessary infrastructure | Solar Farm Off Charley Road Charley, 271 objections

  4. Change of use of agricultural land to motocross training park including the formation of parking and earth-made jumps and the placement of associated ancillary portable buildings | Molehill Farm Ashby Road Kegworth, 32
  5. Erection of five self build dwellings (outline – part access only for approval) | White Gables Lower Moor Road Coleorton Coalville, 30

  7.
