This Is When Garden Waste Collections Will Be Made In The Ashby And Measham Areas This Week

By Graham Hill 28th Apr 2020

North West Leicestershire District Council has published a list of planned garden waste collections in the Ashby and Measham areas.

The Council had planned to let residents know by post after announcing last week that the key recycling connection was being re-introduced.

But many of the letters have been delayed due to Coronavirus restrictions.

A post on the council's Facebook page reads: "Letters were sent on Wednesday but we understand haven't arrived at many addresses. Royal Mail are having their own staffing issues sadly.

"So, we're appealing for community spirit in these areas. If you can see your neighbour doesn't have their bin out, let them know! We're doing our absolute best - thank you for your support."

The following areas will be collected from on Thursday, April 30 and include addresses in Measham, Swepstone, Ibstock, Appleby Magna, Oakthorpe, Acresford, Ellistown, Newton Burgoland, Snarestone: Find Your Address Here

The following areas will be collected from on Friday, May 1.

They include addresses in Ashby, Woodville, Moira, Boundary and Blackfordby Find Your Address Here
