The weekend is dominated by Ashby de la Zouch Town Council's Festival in the Park on Sunday, which will be held at the Bath Grounds.
The event takes place from 12noon-7pm and is a free community event.
But the first hour will be dedicated to commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
You are invited to bring your own chairs and a picnic blanket for a day which will include live music, entertainers, children's rides, a licensed Bar, food vendors and community groups.

The Melbourne Assembly Rooms presents Folk Music for the Modern Age on Sunday.
Come along for an unforgettable evening with one of the UK's most loved folk duos — Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman.

This is a weekend embroidery exhibition, accompanied by a workshop on Saturday, and a tour with the artist on Monday.

Looking ahead to Thursday, Pudding Bag Productions is staging an event at Ashby School
This is their annual film night, showing off the films made over the past 12 months.
This year, you will be taken back to the 17th century for some period drama, and get a laugh with a comedy short about a W.I. cake-baking competition.
