The Lyric Rooms has a double comedy treat coming up.
Monday and Tuesday sees two Christmas specials coming up at the Lower Church Street venue.
On Monday, topping the bill is 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, the incredible Scott Bennett who has appeared on 'Live at the Apollo', had his own Radio 4 show and is widely tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time.
He was also runner up in 2014 English Comedian Of The Year competition, Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 and supported Michael McIntyre, Rob Brydon and Micky Flanagan in arenas
This loveable rising star enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with undeniable no-nonsense logic, who was busy entertaining people through the lockdown, with his 'Stand Up From The Shed' online show.

On Tuesday, Funhouse Comedy brings another Christmas Special night of laughter to the Lyric Rooms.
Topping the bill is multi-award nominated comedian, presenter, actor and writer the cheeky and camp Stephen Bailey, who's appeared on numerous TV shows including 'Live at The Apollo', 'Would I Lie To You', Big Brother's Bit On The Side', 'Pointless Celebrities', Celebrity Mastermind' and done warm-ups for 'Let's Lunch with Gino and Mel' and 'Loose Women'.
With his sharp wit and warm persona he soon has his audiences fascinated.
Opening the night will be The Noise Next Door who have appeared on BBC 1, BBC 3, ITV1, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4 and have performed alongside the likes of Michael McIntyre, Al Murray, and Harry Hill; will be performing perfectly choreographed routines and enthralling the crowd with their wonderful blend of ludicrous characters, witty one-liners, epic stories and musical mayhem. Their sharp improvised comedy always results in a hilariously unique show.

This Saturday sees St Helen's Church in Ashby hosting the Concordia Christmas Concert.
It promises to be a magical evening of beautiful festive music with Concordia Choir and the amazing Derby Central Salvation Army brass band.

On Friday, the Venture Theatre in Ashby stages The Mistletoe Bough.
The venue's Christmas concert this year has a decidedly spooky feel to it, but who doesn't like a good ghost story at Christmas?
This is the tale of a Christmas bride in song, music, prose and poetry whose wedding day doesn't end quite as expected!
The story is based on the well known folk tale, The Mistletoe Bough.

On Saturday afternoon, Holy Trinity Church in Kilwardby Street is hosting the Ashby Concert Band.
