There are plenty of Christmas themed events happening in the Ashby area this weekend.

The Venture Theatre's run of its production of the play Bus Stop comes to an end this Saturday.

A group of cross-country bus passengers are stranded overnight by a blizzard. They seek shelter in Grace's Diner where Cherie, a nightclub singer, is pursued by a young cowboy. She struggles to decide on her next course of action before the bus departs.

Bus Stop is the play version of the famous Marilyn Monroe feature film.

There are a number of Christmas events this weekend in Ashby as well.

Ashby Congregational Church in Kilwardby Street is staging its Christmas Fair on Saturday.

On Sunday, Holy Trinity Church has a Celebration of Christmas, featuring Gresley Colliery Band at Holy Trinity Church.

This Saturday, there is a Christmas wreath-making session at the Old School Room in Blackfordby.

All natural, good quality products are available for your creations. There is something for everyone's taste.

You can let your creativity flow. There will be a demonstration first and then it will be your creative hands.. Bespoke and individual - everyone is welcome.
