The Lyric Rooms has a Funhouse Comedy and Curry Night this evening (July 4).
Topping the bill is the international award winning Scottish comedian Ray Bradshaw, who has supported John Bishop and Frankie Boyle on tour and is the first comedian to ever win a Scottish Culture Award. His hilarious standp style leaves audiences in tears of laughter and his off-the-cuff jokes have the power to make anyone's day a bit brighter.
Opening the night will be Rob Deering who has appeared on the likes of TV's 'House of Games', 'Comedy Rocks',' Sing If You Can' and 'Celebrity Total Wipeout'. He was also the only person in the history of quiz show The Weakest Link, to win the show without getting a single question wrong. With his friendly self-effacing style, he captivates everyone and then using his guitar he gets them onboard with a unique mix of songs and idiocy.
Also appearing will be Kate Martin with her high energy storytelling and razor sharp observations.
Compere for the night is the energetic and chatty Spiky Mike.

The Love Your Neighbourhood Weekend of Action is taking place this weekend in North West Leicestershire.
Communities are being urged to come together to Love Your Neighbourhoods during Saturday and Sunday and take the opportunity to make impactful environmental improvements to the neighbourhoods where you live.
It is hoped the event will help communities build greener, safer, healthier, more inclusive neighbourhoods.
Community groups, tenants associations, parish and town councils, uniformed groups, PTAs plus many more can get involved by organising a community event in your neighbourhoods.
This could be anything you can think of which has an impact on your environment and gets the community involved. Here are some examples:
- Organising a litter picking event in the community
- Planting in shared spaces
- Preparing for wildflowers
- Recycling initiatives
- Installing communal composting bins
- Helping elderly neighbours with their gardens
- Holding recycling events
- Installing hanging baskets to community buildings
Individuals can get involved and register their pledge by working on their own property:
- Take accumulated rubbish to the tip from the front or rear of property
- Trim hedges that have encroached on pathways
- Gardening
- Litter pick your street
- Help a neighbour out
