The Lyric Rooms in Ashby will be hosting a stand-up gig from up and coming comic Scott Bennet later this month.

He is bringing a Work In Progress Tour warm-up show to the Lower Church Street venue on January 29.

Scott was also Best Show Nominee at the Leicester Comedy Festival and has been support for Michael McIntyre, Rob Brydon and Micky Flanagan in arenas.

He enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery, he has been described as 'a Yorkshire live wire' with undeniable no-nonsense logic, who was busy entertaining people through the lockdown, with his 'Stand Up From The Shed' online show.

The announcement was made by Ashby's Funhouse Comedy Club who said:  "We're excited to announce that soon-to-be comedy superstar Scott Bennett will bring a special show to the Lyric Rooms.

"He will perform for around an hour with support, but he will also be appearing on March 6 to do a club set on our regular monthly club night.

"Following his recent appearance at the Royal Variety Performance at The Royal Albert Hall, where he made the King laugh, and with millions of views of his amazing TikTok videos, these shows will sell out fast, so please book asap to avoid missing out.
