Ashby Netball Club celebrate a season of remarkable success - with new records and continued growth

Ashby Netball Club have had a spectacular season so far - marked by unprecedented achievements and continued growth. 

The vibrant club is celebrating a phenomenal season, in which they have set new records and have achieved remarkable success for all its members. 

With more players joining the club than ever before, and under the guidance of head coach Victoria Lane, the club is making waves both on and off the court. 

A pivotal factor behind the club's triumphs this season has been the implementation of improved coaching systems.

The Head coach has been instrumental in refining the coaching methods, ensuring that the players are well-prepared and motivated for each match. 

Her strategic approach to coaching has been exceptional in guiding the players and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 

With the development of existing club talent and an influx of new interest, combined with increased training attendance, the club say they are experiencing a season like no other.

This season has also seen the proactive integration of Ashby Junior members into the Senior Club, as the junior players are starting to reach 16 years old. 

This move not only strengthens the club's talent pool but also fosters a supportive environment for the younger players to learn and grow alongside experienced team members and ensures that the future of netball in Ashby is secure.

This season's successes include one team securing a place in the Loughborough Netball League Cup Final, showcasing their competitive prowess and determination. 

Additionally, this team is also a contender to win the Loughborough Netball League for the first time in the club's history with just one match remaining to play.

They also have a plate runner-up accolade for the Ashby Tornados, in the North West Leicester league, who are experiencing an exceptional season and are on track to secure league division promotion. 

The club's dedication and hard work have paid off with one team earning promotion from Regional Division Three to Division Two. 

Kim Hudson, Ashby Giants first team captain, said: "Our club's performance standards have significantly increased this season and we are excited to embrace next season's regional Division Two."

Another three teams from across the leagues have division promotions in the pipeline, with this remarkable achievement showing a testament to the club's skill, commitment, and the excellent coaching they have received throughout the season - as well as illustrating the club's upward trajectory and commitment to excellence in the best season of the club's 12-year history, signalling a vibrant future for this club. 

Louise Manning, captain of Ashby Diamonds, said: "I am immensely proud of the performance and we are all full of excitement for the cup final this year."

With Ashby's members performing across all levels and standards of the game and teams excelling in their respective leagues, the club is setting new standards and inspiring netball enthusiasts across the region - and are inviting experienced players to join up.
