Bilingual Day Nursery Ravenstone - with a site in Ashby - has been awarded an 'Outstanding' grading by Ofsted.

The nursery received top marks across all categories from the the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills.

This included the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.

The nursery says this prestigious rating reflects its commitment to providing exceptional early years education and care, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.

The highlights of the report are:

• Quality of Education: The inspector praised the nursery's innovative bilingual curriculum, which supports children in acquiring Spanish through play as well as becoming independent and ready for school. Inspectors noted the high-quality teaching and rich learning experiences provided to the children.
• Behaviour and Attitudes: Inspectors commended the nursery for creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children display exemplary behaviour and respect for others. 
• Personal Development: The nursery's dedication to promoting children's personal growth was highlighted, with special mention of the varied activities that encourage independence. 
• Leadership and Management: The strong leadership team was recognised as exceptional for its clear vision, effective management, and commitment to continuous improvement.

The nursery is the second one of the group, offering high-quality early years education in English and Spanish.

There is a focus on fostering bilingualism, creativity, and personal development, which the nursery says provides a nurturing environment where children can thrive.
